2nd SUNDAY OF LENT

1 STATIONS OF THE CROSS AND MASSES ON EVERY FRIDAY IN LENT will be at 6.00 pm (English) and 8.00 pm (Chinese).
2 MID-DAY MASS is celebrated at the Carmelite Chapel on every Friday in Lent at 12:30 pm. Do come and spend some time in prayer during your lunch break.
3 PRIESTS’ RECOLLECTION AND MEETING will be held on Wednesday, 19th March. The 6:00 pm Weekday Mass in cancelled.
4 FEAST DAY ON THE SOLEMNITY OF ST. JOSEPH, SPOUSE OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY– Holy Mass will be celebrated at St Joseph’s Cathedral on Wednesday, 19th March at 7:30 pm. The 5:30 pm daily Mass will be cancelled that evening.
5 COMBINED REQUIEM MASS will be celebrated on Friday, 28th March, at 6:00 pm. Please submit requests to the Parish office by Wednesday, 26th March.
6 C.W.S. LENTEN APPEAL ENVELOPES are available at the church entrances. Parishioners are encouraged to do charity and almsgiving during the Lenten season.

9 NOVENA OF HOLY HOURS WITH REFLECTION: ‘PRAYING WITH MARK’S GOSPEL’ will be led by Archbishop Emeritus John Ha on every Tuesday evenings starting from 11th February to 8th April, 8.00 pm to 9.15 pm in St Joseph’s Cathedral. All are invited to join this Novena with Exposition, Adoration and Benediction to experience a renewal of faith and hope in Christ in this Jubilee Year.
10 LENT: A WAY OF HOPE – How are we invited to deepen our trust in God as Pilgrims of Hope during Lent? Join Fr. Stanley Goh, SJ, for a series of four Lenten reflection sessions as we deepen our appreciation of the meaning of Lent, its connection with the Jubilee Year of Hope, and reflect on how we can grow in faith, hope, and love along the way. These sessions will be held on 12th, 19th and 26th March, and 9th April (Wednesdays) at 8:00 pm in the St John and Lucy Room, A.C.C.P.C., Kuching. All are welcome! No prior registration is required.
11 HAGGAI SEMINAR FOR CATHOLIC LEADERS will be organised in collaboration with the School for New Evangelization (SNE) of the Diocese of Penang from Thursday, 1st May until Sunday, 4th May at the Monsignor Aloysius Spirituality Centre, Penang.

This is a leadership training programme aimed at equipping Parish/Ministry/Lay Leaders as well as Clergy and Religious for effective evangelization. Seminar fee is RM200 per head (Non-residential). 12 APPEAL FOR DONATION TO THE KUCHING CATHOLIC CEMETERIES & COLUMBARIA SERVICES (KCCCS) – The Custodian of KCCCS is appealing for your generous donation for the maintenance and upkeep of our Catholic cemeteries and improvement of its facilities. THE BUNAN RESILIENCE PROJECT is a pilot project of the Archdiocese of Kuching to support the farmers of Bunan by marketing their produce in Kuching. By doing so, we help them to remain economically resilient in the face of growing uncertainties. CATHOLIC FUNERAL & BURIAL SERVICEThe Catholic Mutual Benefit Society of the Kuching Archdiocese provides assistance to bereaved families at the time of death. Their services include providing advice regarding Christian rituals, cemetery plots, columbarium, caskets, transportation, arrangement for funeral masses, wake prayers for the dead, etc.
