BSC KUCHING: For three days (20-22 December 2024), a total of 24 youths took up a new challenge after a few years of pause, to evangelise by spreading the news of the birth of Jesus Christ to both new Christians and old through the singing of carols.
The Christmas carolling was targetted mainly at family members of both Servant Communities Emmaus and Emmaus Young Adults. Feedback on the house-to-house carolling has been rolling in with most of it leaning towards positivity and support. With most members being fairly new to the carolling, the youths had to work hard to give their all-in-all for those three days.
Through the Christmas carolling, the youth ministry has also gained some funds in the form of love offerings for the use of future events. Some members of the Servant Communities Emmaus and Emmaus Young Adults had also been a great help in coordinating the transportation of the youths in conjunction with the visits.
The night of carols started with Emmaus youth receiving blessings from Father Leonard, the rector of Blessed Sacrament Church after the Daily Mass, with the carollers heading towards their first destination right after.
