BSC KUCHING: The Stations of the Cross is an annual event organised by the Sunday School on Good Friday. It was put on hold for three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

So, after such a long break, BFFC decided to hold this event again to commemorate Good Friday and to bring back awareness to the parents/guardians and children to appreciate the tradition of doing the Stations of the Cross and have a deeper understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and crucifixion on the Cross, and the meaning of Lent.

The Stations of the Cross began at 8.30 am in the Church with a speech by Vice Chairman of BFFC, James Bilong, and the preparatory prayers by a student from Level 10 of the Sunday School English session.

The procession of parents/guardians, students, and Faith facilitators from both English and Chinese sessions totalling about 100, proceeded out of the Church led by three altar boys.

The narration at the stations were by students from both the English and Chinese sessions, done alternately, going round the Church compound and ended roughly around 9.30 am in the Church, with prayers and a message of thanks from the Vice Chairman to everyone who participated.

This was followed by the Divine Mercy Novena led by the Emmaus Servant Community at 10.30 am.
