23 December 2018 – There was an air of expectation and excitement at BSC Hall earlier this morning – anticipating the start of the Christmas Party jointly organized by the Chinese Children’s Liturgy Ministry and the Chinese Sunday School Ministry of Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC).

Open to all parishioners of BSC, a total of 71 registered for the party.

Thomas Ting, the Chairman of the Parish Pastoral Council gave a short speech and encouraged all to celebrate the coming of our Savior and Messiah meaningfully. He then said grace before inviting the participants to have breakfast.

This is the season to be jolly and carols were sung with live music performed by previous members of the Chinese Liturgy Classes.  There were peals of laughter and boisterous enjoyment as the children participated in the games and fun activities, especially the balloon twisting handicraft session.

A photo booth in red and green with balloons had also been set up.  The appearance of a famous Japanese character, Rilakkuma, further enlivened the party.

Gifts were exchanged in a way similar to musical chairs, and both adults and children relished the new way of receiving a gift.

The Rector of BSC, Fr Felix Au said the concluding prayer and thanked the Organizing Committee for the joyful party, and all participants who celebrated it cheerfully.

To cap the morning of fun and cheer, all participants received a gift, much to the delight of all.

The party ended with live music and carol singing.
